Editorial Policy

How Daily Pulse stories get made — from research to publication and beyond.

Our editorial standards

Daily Pulse publishes accurate, well-sourced, photo-led long-form content on health, money, home, lifestyle and culture. Every story goes through the same workflow:

  1. Research. Editors identify a topic from reader interest, current events, or evergreen questions. We gather primary sources (peer-reviewed studies, official statements, public records, named expert interviews) and secondary sources (reputable news outlets, established reference works).
  2. Drafting. A writer drafts the piece, citing sources internally and noting any assumption that needs verification.
  3. Fact-check. A second editor independently re-verifies every checkable claim against the cited source.
  4. Edit. The piece is edited for clarity, voice, structure, and adherence to our style guide.
  5. Image-rights review. Photos are checked for proper licensing or original ownership before publication.
  6. Final approval. The managing editor signs off prior to publication.

Sourcing

We prefer named, on-the-record sources. We cite primary documents wherever possible. When we use anonymous sources, we explain to readers why anonymity was granted and how the information was corroborated.

Corrections and updates

If we make a factual mistake, we correct it promptly and openly. Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the article with the date of the correction. See our Corrections Policy.

For evergreen content, we periodically update articles to reflect new information. Major updates carry a visible "Updated" date.

Sponsored content and editorial independence

Daily Pulse runs sponsored display ads and recommended-content widgets. These are clearly labeled and are kept entirely separate from editorial content. Advertisers do not have any input into what we cover or how we cover it. See our Affiliate Disclosure.

Use of AI tools

We may use AI tools to assist with research, summarization, and quality-of-life editing. All published articles are written, edited, and signed off by human editors. AI-generated text is never published without human review and editing.

Diversity and inclusion

We aim for source diversity in expert interviews and editorial voice. We update our style guide and source list periodically to reflect this commitment.
